Sound-absorbing totem

Taking its name from the large monolithic stones which it resembles, Menhir is a practical and clean solution in terms of its form; its adaptability makes it an excellent removable sound-absorbing element for low frequencies. Perfect for large environments where speech reverberation can cause confusion and chaos, Menhir can relate to the environment, adapting to various requirements. The shorter version also comes with a cover that can serve as a shelf for resting magazines, plants or various types of furniture objects.

DIMENSIONS

Menhir sound-absorbing totems are available in 2 standard sizes, either 1 or 2 metres. Thanks to their shape, they are practical and manoeuvrable. They can be easily moved from one room to another depending on the acoustic requirements at the time. Furthermore, thanks to their thickness, they have a high sound absorption capacity.

BASE AND SHELF

The Menhir sound-absorbing totem is available with a base in satin-finish stainless steel or painted steel, with a base inside the structure in painted steel and 1 m high totem shelf in satin-finish stainless steel.

ACOUSTIC ABSORPTION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Caruso sound-absorbing products have been tested in reverberation chambers in accordance with standard UNI EN ISO 354 and are divided according to their type of application (walls, horizontal hanging cables, free-standing, etc). The technical data sheets and certifications are available upon request. Silente, Nuvola, Flag, Scriba and D-Space finished products meet European fire safety regulatory requirements in accordance with standard UNI EN 13501-1 and are certified under class B-s2,d0 for the Basotect melamine resin by Basf® and under class B-s1,d0 for Whisper® by Stratocell®; they also meet American requirements in accordance with USA ASTM E84- 15b standard. Moreover, they are approved for fire prevention by the Italian Ministry of the Interior. These products also comply with existing health and safety legislation for the new formaldehyde classification. In particular, they are certified against the release of formaldehyde under EN 717-1:2004 with values of mg/m3 <0.01 – ppm <0.01.
